🔍 Why Isn't My Meal Selection Showing in the Seating Plan Export?

If a meal selection (e.g. starter, main course) isn't appearing in your seating plan PDF, this is usually because the related RSVP question isn't currently active.

What to check:

🔘 Is the question toggled on?

In your RSVP settings, each catering question has an active/inactive toggle. If it's toggled off, guests won't see it on the RSVP — and it won't appear in your floor plan export either, even if it's set up as connected.

🔗 Is it connected to the floor plan?

Only questions that are both toggled on and marked as "Connected to floor plan" will sync guest selections into your seating plan.

How to fix it:

Head to your RSVP settings, find the relevant catering question (e.g. main course), and make sure it's toggled on. Once it's active, guest selections for that question will start syncing correctly, and it'll show up the next time you export your floor plan.

Note: if you have multiple similarly worded questions (e.g. starter vs. main course), double check which one is toggled on, as only the active question's responses will sync — not any inactive duplicates.

💡 Tip: If you've recently reordered or recreated catering questions, it's worth double-checking the toggle and floor plan connection on each one, since deleting and recreating a question breaks the original sync.
