🏛️ Visualise Your Venue Layout
The floorplan tool gives you a bird’s-eye view of your venue. You can recreate the space by adding:
Tables
Dance floor
Stage or DJ booth
Buffet area
Lounge sections
Kids’ area
Ceremony seating (if needed)
Seeing everything laid out helps you plan movement, spacing, and the flow of your wedding.
📐 Start with a Template (Optional)
If you regularly work with the same venue or room layout, you can build a reusable Floor Plan Template instead of starting from scratch each time.
Upload an image of the room
Click the image, then Set Scale, and draw a line between two known points (e.g. wall to wall) — enter the exact real-world measurement so everything you add lines up to true scale
Drag furniture in from the Library, which includes tables (with chairs), ceremony chairs, lounge furniture, audio-visual, electrical, and venue elements like doors and bathrooms, plus decorative elements like plants
Add custom shapes (e.g. a dance floor), and give them a label, adjusting text, background, and font size as needed
Adjust template-level settings — the floor plan's name, metric/imperial units, and whether furniture, labels, and full or abbreviated guest names show on export
Once you're happy with it, save the template — it can then be imported into any event via Floor Plans → Import Template.
🍽️ Add and Arrange Tables
Choose from different table shapes and sizes to match your venue:
Round tables
Long banquet tables
Square tables
Sweetheart table
You can drag tables, resize them, rotate them, and position them exactly where they belong.
You can drag tables in, resize and rotate them, rename and number them, and position them exactly where they belong. You can also customize how seats are distributed around a table (e.g. 6 seats on top, 6 on the bottom, none on the sides), adjust seat size, and copy-paste tables to duplicate a layout quickly.
🪑 Seat Guests With Ease
Once your layout is ready, click into any table to open the Guests tab and start assigning guests to seats — either by typing a name or using the dropdown. The tool lets you:
Seat guests one by one
See household groupings displayed under each guest's name, making it easy to seat families or households together
Filter the guest list to show all guests, or narrow it down by tag (e.g. only A-list guests)
Sort guests alphabetically, by household, or by unassigned status — unassigned guests appear at the top, so you can quickly spot who still needs a seat
Move guests whenever you need to
If a seated guest's RSVP status changes to "no longer attending," you'll see a Guest Attendance Change flag — click the X next to their name to instantly remove them from their seat, so you always know your seating reflects who's actually coming.
💡 Tip: Turn on Lock furniture images and shapes in your settings to prevent tables and furniture from accidentally shifting as you scroll and edit.

Your seating chart is fully connected to your Guest List. This means:
RSVP updates appear instantly
Dietary needs are visible
Plus-ones are added automatically
You always have the latest information
Your layout stays accurate without manual updates.
👀 Real-Time Editing
Every change you make is updated live. You can:
Zoom in and out
Drag items freely
Undo or redo actions
Switch between seating view and table view
It's designed to be simple — even if you've never created a floor plan before.
📤 Exporting Your Floor Plan
When you're ready to export, you'll have a few choices:
Meal choice to display — if your RSVP included multiple catering questions (e.g. starter, main, dessert), seats are color-coded by meal choice, so you'll export a separate document per meal question
Export format — a single PDF containing your full floor plan and table details, or a tiled version split across multiple printable pages if you'd like to blow it up into a larger poster
Preview before downloading — view your file before you commit to exporting it
A typical export includes:
The floor plan itself — seats color-coded by meal choice, with guests who have an allergy shown in a red-bordered seat
A summary page — totals for adults, children, and babies seated, number of tables and seats, a full meal count, and a flagged list of anyone with an allergy, accessibility, or dietary need (e.g. "Ronald — Table 1, Seat 3 — Shellfish allergy, vegan, requires wheelchair access")
An alphabetical guest list — every guest by surname, showing their age group, table, seat, meal choice, and any allergy/dietary/accessibility notes
Table-by-table pages — a zoomed-in view of each table with all seated guests and their details, repeated for every table in your floor plan
