Why Guests Skip RSVP Questions & How to Fix It

If you notice that guests who select an option like “Regretfully decline” are not being asked the remaining RSVP questions, this is expected behavior based on how the RSVP flow works.

⚙️ How the RSVP Flow Works

The first attendance question (e.g. “Will you be attending our wedding?”) is the primary attendance question.

If a guest selects a declining option, the system may trigger a “Skip to end” action. This means:

• The RSVP is submitted immediately
• Any remaining questions are skipped

📊 Why This Happens

The primary attendance question is directly linked to your Attendance Dashboard, which tracks:
• Attending guests
• Not attending guests
• Pending responses

This ensures your numbers remain accurate and automatically updated.

How to Ensure Guests Answer All Questions

If you want all guests to answer every question, you can adjust your setup like this:

  1. Keep the primary attendance question as is (this feeds your dashboard)

  2. Create a new set of questions under the RSVP section (below attendance)

  3. Add your additional questions there (e.g. weekend details, logistics, preferences)

  4. Avoid linking these questions to any skip logic

With this setup:

• Guests will answer the first attendance question
• Then continue through all remaining questions
• Your attendance tracking remains accurate

📝 Important Notes

•The “Skip to end” behavior is tied to the primary attendance question and cannot be removed
• You can still access all responses from your Guestlist
• To view detailed responses, scroll to the end of your Guestlist where all submitted answers are recorded
• This allows you to collect full information while keeping attendance data accurate

💡 Pro tip: Place your key questions after the attendance section so all guests can complete them, regardless of their attendance response.
