🏠 What Is a Household in TTO?
A household groups multiple guests together so they can complete one RSVP form instead of receiving and responding separately. Households are typically used for:
• Couples
• Families
• Parents with children
• Guests sharing a single invitation
Once grouped, only one guest needs an email or phone number to receive the RSVP link. That person becomes the primary guest.
📩 Who Receives the RSVP Link?
The primary guest is the only person in the household who receives the RSVP link.
They can then respond for themselves and for all other members of their household.
If only one person in the household has contact details (email or phone), that person automatically becomes the primary guest.
📝 Can One Person RSVP for the Whole Household?
Yes. When the primary guest opens the RSVP link, they will see each household member listed individually inside the RSVP form.
They can select for each person:
• Attending
• Not attending
• Meal choices
• Dietary requirements
• Additional event-specific questions
Even though only one person submits the RSVP, every household member still gets their own individual attendance status.
❓ Does the RSVP Automatically Confirm Everyone in the Household?
No.
TTO does not auto-mark all household members as attending.
The primary guest must manually indicate who is attending and who is not.
This ensures accurate attendance tracking for every guest.
📷 What Does a Household RSVP Look Like?
When the primary guest clicks the RSVP link, they will see a screen showing:
• Their name
• Each additional household member
• A separate attendance selector for each guest
This allows them to RSVP for everyone in one go.
🔧 Can I Disable Household RSVPing or Restrict Who Can RSVP for Whom?
Not at the moment.
TTO’s system is designed so that:
• The primary guest can always RSVP for everyone in their household
• This behavior cannot be changed or limited in the RSVP settings
If you want each person to RSVP individually, the only workaround is to:
• Remove them from the household and
• Give each person their own contact information
However, this removes the convenience of group RSVPs.
🤔 Why Didn’t Any Primary Guests RSVP for Their Household?
A few possible reasons:
• Guests may not realise they are allowed to RSVP for others
• Some assume the invitation is only for them
• Some may skip over household sections without noticing
• Couples may reply individually instead of together
You can reassure users that this is normal, and you may manually update RSVP details when needed.
📌 Planner Tip
If a household member never RSVPs, but you only have one guest with contact info, it’s expected that the primary guest handles all responses.
You can encourage them directly or manually adjust responses inside the Guestlist.
🎉 Summary
TTO’s household RSVP feature allows:
• One person to RSVP for everyone
• Individual attendance tracking
• Smooth, simplified communication
• Better organisation for planners and couples
If a primary guest doesn’t complete the household section, you can update their attendance manually or contact them to clarify.
