🏠 What Are Households?

A household is a group of guests who belong together, such as:

  • Couples

  • Families

  • Plus-ones

  • Guests sharing an address

  • Anyone who should receive a single invitation

Households keep your guestlist tidy and prevent duplicate invites or mismatched RSVPs.

Creating Households

You can create a household in just a few clicks.

To create a household:

  • Open your Guestlist tab

  • Select two or more guests who belong together

  • Click Create Household

  • Optionally add a Household Name

  • Save — those guests are now grouped

Tip:
Use names like “The Johnson Family” or “Anna & Mark” for easy tracking.

✏️ Editing or Updating a Household

You can change household members anytime.

To edit a household:

  • Find the household icon beside grouped guests

  • Click Edit Household

  • Add or remove members

  • Rename the household

  • Update shared contact details

Edits save automatically - perfect for new family members or separating guests who no longer belong together.

➗ Removing or Splitting a Household

If guests shouldn’t be grouped anymore:

  • Open Edit Household

  • Remove the guests you want to separate

If only one guest remains, the household dissolves automatically.
Removing all members deletes the household entirely.

👤 Adding Plus-Ones to a Guest

A plus-one is an additional guest linked to a primary invitee - ideal for partners or companions.

To add a plus-one:

  • Open your Guestlist

  • Select the guest who gets a plus-one

  • Choose Add Plus-One

  • Enter their name, email or phone - or leave it blank as a placeholder

  • Save

Tip:
If you don’t know their name yet, add a placeholder like “Guest of Sarah Lee”. You can update it later.

🔗 How Plus-Ones Work Inside Households

When you add a plus-one:

  • They are automatically added to the same household

  • They share the same invitation

  • They appear nested below the main guest

  • They can have their own tags, seating and categories

  • Their status can follow the main guest or be set individually

This keeps RSVPs accurate and lists clean.

✏️ Editing a Plus-One

To update a plus-one’s details:

  • Click their row within the household

  • Edit their name, email, phone or tags

  • Changes save instantly

Great for replacing placeholder names when details become available.

❌ Removing a Plus-One

To remove a plus-one:

  • Expand the household

  • Click the plus-one’s row

  • Select Remove or Delete

Removing a plus-one does not affect the main guest.

🔄 Managing Status for Households & Plus-Ones

Statuses can be shared or individual:

Shared:

  • Couple RSVPs “Yes” → both Attending

  • Family declines → all Not Attending

Individual:

  • Parent attending but child not

  • Guest attending without their plus-one

You can update statuses manually anytime.
