🏷️ Using Tags in RSVP Questions

Tags help you control who sees each RSVP question. By assigning a tag to a question, you can make sure it’s only shown to the right group of guests instead of everyone.

This is especially useful for catering, meal choices, and guest-specific questions.

🔍 What Are RSVP Tags?

Each RSVP question includes a tag selector (such as All guests, A list, B list, or Family etc).

The selected tag decides which guests will see that question during the RSVP process.

  • 👥 All guests → everyone will see the question

  • 🏷️ Specific tags → only guests with that tag will see it

🍽️ When Should You Use Tags?

Tags are helpful when:

  • Only certain guests need to choose a meal

  • Different groups have different catering options

  • Some guests don’t require food selections

  • You’re separating questions for families, VIPs, or invite waves

⚠️ Key Things to Remember

  • Guests will only see questions that match their tags

  • If a question is tagged incorrectly, it may seem like it’s missing

  • If you’re unsure, use All guests to avoid excluding anyone

  • Tags are based on how guests are organised in your guest list

🚫 Common Mistake

A common issue happens when a question is assigned to a tag, but the guest doesn’t have that tag applied. In this case, the RSVP is working correctly — the question is simply hidden for that guest.

✅ Best Practice

Before sharing your RSVP:

  • 🏷️ Double-check guest tags in your guest list

  • 👀 Review the tag setting on each RSVP question

  • 🧪 Preview the RSVP as different guest types if possible

Using tags correctly ensures the right questions reach the right guests and keeps your RSVP experience smooth and accurate.
