❓ Can guests RSVP using only their phone number or only their email?

Guests must enter both a phone number and an email address when RSVPing.
This is required so we can correctly match each guest to:

• Their floorplan seat
• Their tags
• Their meal choices
• Their plus-one details
• Their household or group

Email + phone ensures accurate matching and prevents duplicate or mismatched RSVPs.

📱 What if we don’t have everyone’s email address?

No problem - we match guests primarily by phone number.
This means:

• Guests can enter any email address during RSVP
• The email does not need to match what you have on file
• The email is only used to send their RSVP confirmation

So even if you don’t have guest emails, they can still RSVP normally.

🧠 Why we require both fields

Using both phone and email helps ensure:

• Guests aren’t mixed up with others who share a phone number
• Households are grouped correctly
• RSVP data flows into the Guestlist accurately
• Seating & floorplans stay synced

This prevents common errors when only one identifier is used.

🖼️ What guests see when they RSVP

When guests enter the RSVP page, they’ll see fields for:

• First & last name
• Phone number
• Email address

Then they proceed to their RSVP questions.

(Your screenshot above shows the exact fields guests use to identify themselves.)

💬 Can this setting be changed or customized?

At the moment, no - both email and phone number are required for correct system matching.

If you’d like guests to use only phone number in the future, feel free to submit this as a feature request.
