⭐ Why Use a Floor Plan Template?

Floor plan templates allow you to:

βœ… Reuse proven seating layouts
βœ… Maintain consistency across events
βœ… Save time during event setup
βœ… Quickly duplicate table structures and arrangements

Perfect for recurring events or similar venue setups.

πŸ—οΈ Creating a Floor Plan Template from the Main Dashboard

To reuse a layout across multiple wedding events, you’ll first need to create a Floor Plan Template from your main dashboard.

From the main dashboard (not inside a specific event), go to the Floorplans section under Templates. Here, you can design and save a master floor plan layout that will serve as your reusable template.

This is especially helpful for wedding planners or venues that frequently use the same seating structure. For example, if you often organize weddings at the same venue with similar table arrangements, you can create one optimized layout and save it as a template.

Once saved, this template will appear as an option whenever you click Import template inside any wedding event, allowing you to quickly apply the same layout to different events without rebuilding it each time.

πŸ“₯ How to Import a Floor Plan Template into an Event

1️⃣ Open the wedding event where you want to apply the layout.
2️⃣ Go to the Floorplans section from the left-hand menu.
3️⃣ Click Import template in the top-right corner. A popup window will appear displaying your available floor plan templates created from the main dashboard.
4️⃣ Select the template you’d like to use.
5️⃣ Click Import to apply it to your current event.

Your selected layout will now be added and ready for guest assignments.

✏️ How to Edit a Floor Plan Template

If you need to update a template, return to the main dashboard Floorplans (Templates) section, locate the template you want to edit, and click the edit (pencil) icon on the template card. Make your changes and save. The updated version will be available for all future wedding events where you choose to import it.

Using floor plan templates ensures consistency, saves time, and makes managing multiple wedding events significantly more efficient. If you need additional assistance, our support team is always happy to help.

Note: ⚠️ Editing a template from the main dashboard will only affect future imports, not events where it has already been used.
