All bookings made through TTO follow the cancellation policy set by the hotel at the time of reservation. This policy outlines whether a booking can be cancelled, if a refund is available, and whether any fees or penalties apply.
Types of cancellation policies
Bookings may fall into one of the following categories:
Refundable – the booking can be cancelled within a specified time frame for a full refund.
Partially refundable – the booking can be cancelled, but a fee or partial charge may apply.
Non-refundable – cancelling the booking does not qualify for a refund.
Important information about non-refundable bookings
If a booking is marked as non-refundable, cancellations are generally not allowed. Even if a hotel or supplier indicates flexibility directly, the original provider policy still applies within TTO.
In some cases, a cancellation request may be submitted with a penalty. This may require a waiver or special approval from the provider, and approval is not guaranteed.
What to keep in mind
Cancellation policies vary depending on the booking and provider
The policy agreed to at the time of booking is the one that applies
Hotels or suppliers cannot always override provider policies
