๐Ÿ“‘ Duplicating an Event

Starting a new wedding from scratch every time isn't necessary - you can duplicate an existing event and choose exactly what comes across, saving you from rebuilding the same structure over and over.

๐Ÿ” How to Duplicate an Event

From your dashboard event list, click the โ‹ฏ menu next to any event and select Duplicate.

๐Ÿ“ Name & Set Up the New Event

A "Duplicate event" panel opens, showing what you're copying from. Here you'll fill in:

  • Client/Couple names (required)

  • Venue name โ€” changing this clears the copied address and description, since they're tied to the original venue

  • Start date (required) โ€” everything dated in the copy shifts by the same number of days as the gap between the old and new start date

  • End date โ€” leave blank to keep the same event length as the original

๐ŸŒ Region & Format

  • Country and Language (both required)

  • Currency and date format always come from the original event โ€” amounts are relabeled to match the new region, never converted

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: If you change the country or language, your amounts keep their original numbers; only the label/format updates.

โ˜‘๏ธ Choose What to Copy

Anything you leave unchecked still works fine in the new event โ€” it just starts the way a brand-new event starts. Use Select all to toggle everything at once, or pick individually:

Structure and settings

  • Timeline โ€” items, times, locations, and assigned people (vendor assignments only come across if you also copy Vendors)

  • To-dos โ€” tasks, categories, due dates, owners, and labels, all arriving marked not done

  • Event website โ€” theme, sections, FAQs, and images, arriving unpublished

  • RSVP form โ€” questions and form design (responses come only with Guests)

  • Guest list setup โ€” tags and custom columns, without the guests themselves (a question limited to a tag loses that limit if the tag isn't also copied)

  • Budget categories โ€” categories, sub-categories, and notes

  • Budget amounts and payments โ€” estimates and the payment schedule, with every payment reset to unpaid

  • Questionnaires โ€” the questions only, never guests' replies

  • Notes โ€” titles, content, covers, and images

  • Quick links โ€” name, category, and address

  • Event settings โ€” what the couple can see, cover image, labels, and timeline introduction

  • Team, assignees, and labels โ€” carries over automatically when duplicating within the same business

Event-specific data

  • Guests and RSVP responses โ€” guests, groups, tags, custom columns, and their replies

  • Vendors โ€” this event's vendor list, fees, and labels, linked to the same contacts

  • Floor plans โ€” layouts and their images (seating comes only with the guests)

  • E-cards โ€” the designs only, saved as drafts

  • Mood boards โ€” boards and their images

  • Accommodation โ€” hotel selections and the accommodation site's content

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Team members, assignees, and labels only carry over automatically when the new event is duplicated within the same business. Duplicating across businesses won't carry these over.

โ–ถ๏ธ Finishing Up

Once you're happy with your selections, click Duplicate event. Your new event is created immediately and appears in your event list, ready to pick up from wherever you left off.

๐ŸŽ‰ Why This Helps

Duplicating an event means you can:

  • Reuse a proven structure instead of starting from zero

  • Keep sensitive event-specific data (like RSVP replies or payments) out of the new event when you don't need it

  • Set up a new wedding in a different country or language while keeping your original pricing intact
