🗺️ Viewing Your Contacts on a Map

The Map view in Contacts plots your suppliers, planners and other contacts on an interactive map based on their location. It's a quick way to see where everyone is based, which helps when you're planning destination weddings or looking for local suppliers

📍 Opening the Map View

  • Go to Contacts

  • Click the Map tab at the top of the panel, next to Details

  • Contacts with location data appear as pins on the map

Each pin is labelled with the contact's name, so you can tell at a glance who is based where.

👆 Viewing a Contact from the Map

Click any pin to open a quick preview of that contact, showing:

  • Name (e.g. La Dichosa)

  • Category (e.g. Photography)

  • Location (e.g. Villanueva del Rosario, Spain)

Click View details to open the contact's full profile, or click the × to close the preview.

🔍 Filtering Your Contacts

Use the filters in the left panel to narrow down which contacts appear:

  • Visibility: filter by who can see the contact

  • Location: show contacts in a specific area

  • Category: filter by type, such as Planner or Accessories

  • Labels: filter by any labels you've added

  • Search by name: find a specific contact quickly

Your contacts are listed alphabetically below the filters, with each contact's name and category. Click the arrow next to any contact to open their details.

🔎 Navigating the Map

  • Use the + and − buttons in the top right to zoom in and out

  • Click and drag to move around the map

⚠️ Contacts Missing Location Data

If some contacts don't have a location saved, a banner at the top of the map shows how many (e.g. "5 contacts are missing location data"). These contacts won't appear as pins until a location is added.

💡 Tip: Add a location to each contact's details so your whole network shows up on the map.

📌 Note: Only contacts with location data can be plotted on the map.
