The map on your TTO wedding website automatically displays your venue location. If it shows the wrong country or address, the coordinates or venue location need adjustment. Here's how to fix it.

📍 Why the Map Shows the Wrong Location

The map may display an incorrect country or point on the map if:
• The venue’s coordinates were entered incorrectly
• The full address wasn’t saved
• A partial address or keyword was used (e.g., “Castleview”)
• Google Maps returned the wrong location for the address
• A copy/paste error added extra characters

TTO displays exactly what Google Maps returns, so entering the correct coordinates is the most reliable solution.

🧭 How to Correct the Map Location

If the map is showing the wrong place, you can update it using the exact coordinates from Google Maps.

Here’s how to get the correct coordinates:

  1. Open Google Maps.and search for the venue name.

  2. Click on the correct location pin.

  3. Look at the URL at the top of the browser.

  4. The link will include the coordinates — for example:
    52.123456, -6.987654

  5. Copy those two numbers exactly.

  6. Paste them into the “Map Location” field on the TTO website builder.

Once updated, the map will show the correct location instantly.

📌 Tip for Irish Venues

Some rural venues in Ireland don’t map correctly using only the venue name. Using coordinates ensures accuracy every time.
Eircode works too — but coordinates are still the most precise option.

🏰 What If My Venue Has Multiple Locations With the Same Name?

Google may show a wrong country if there are venues with identical names elsewhere (e.g., a castle or manor that exists in Germany).
Coordinates eliminate this issue completely.

🔄 Still Not Displaying Correctly?

If the map still shows the wrong country after updating coordinates:
• Double-check the numbers
• Ensure there are no extra spaces or characters
• Make sure latitude and longitude are in the right order
• Try re-saving the website

If the issue persists, reach out to the support team and include:
• The venue name
• Website link
• A screenshot
• The coordinates you tried

We’ll be happy to check it for you.

🎉 Summary

To fix map issues:
• Always use exact Google Maps coordinates
• Paste them into the map field in your website builder
• Save and preview to confirm everything is correct

This ensures your guests see the right venue location every time.
