⏸️ Can I Pause My Subscription Instead of Cancelling?

Not planning to use TTO for a while, but don't want to lose your projects? Here's what to know about pausing vs. cancelling.

Written by Nina Dobrev

🔍 There's No Separate "Pause" Feature

  • TTO doesn't currently offer a dedicated "pause" option separate from cancellation

  • The good news: cancelling works almost exactly like a pause would, since none of your data is deleted when you cancel

📦 What Happens to Your Data When You Cancel

  • All your data stays intact — this includes your events, guest lists, wedding websites, and everything else you've built

  • Nothing is lost, so you don't need to worry about your projects (like a wedding website you've created for a couple) disappearing

🔄 Coming Back Later

  • Whenever you're ready to use TTO again, simply resubscribe using the exact same email address tied to your original account

  • 📌 Important: It must be the exact same email address. Using a different one creates a brand new, empty account instead of restoring your existing data

  • Once resubscribed, your previous events will appear under the Archived tab — just unarchive whichever ones you want to pick back up

⚡ Cancellation Is Immediate

  • Cancelling takes effect immediately — it does not pause billing to a future date you choose

  • If you're hoping to stop payments starting on a specific date (e.g. the 1st of next month), you'll want to cancel closer to that date yourself, rather than cancelling now and expecting it to take effect later

💡 Tip: Since cancelling doesn't delete anything, it functions as a practical substitute for a "pause" - just be mindful of the immediate cutoff timing if you're trying to align it with a specific date.
