Managing Feature Permissions

The Features section allows you to control which tools and sections are available to your client or couple within their event view, as well as how they can interact with them.

This gives planners greater control over the client experience by allowing you to decide whether clients can edit, view, or not access certain features during the planning process.

How to Manage Feature Permissions

From your Event Dashboard:

  1. Click Settings

  2. Select Features

  3. Locate the feature you want to manage

  4. Choose the desired permission using the available icons

You will see a list of available features, including:

  • E-Card

  • Floorplan

  • Guestlist

  • Moodboards

  • Quick Links

  • RSVP

  • Timeline

  • To-do

  • Vendors

  • Website

Each feature has three permission options that determine how your client can access it.

✓ Editable by Client

When this option is selected, the client or couple can view and edit the feature.

This allows them to actively collaborate with you by adding or updating information within that section.

Example:

When a feature is set to Editable for clientand marked with the check icon, clients can open that feature and make updates themselves.

Note:

Any updates made by the client in features marked Editable for client (✓) will be saved and visible to you. This allows both you and your client to collaborate and keep information updated within the same event workspace.

🔒 View Only for Client

When set to View Only, clients can see the information but cannot make changes.

A lock icon will appear next to the feature in the client view to indicate that editing is restricted.

If a client attempts to edit the feature, they will receive a notification indicating that the feature is not editable.

This is useful when you want to share finalized information without allowing edits.

Example:

When a feature like Guestlist is set to “View only for client and marked with the lock icon, clients can view the information but cannot edit or update it.

🔒Note:
Features set to View only for client (🔒) allow clients to see information but prevent them from making changes. If they attempt to edit, the system will display a notification that the feature is not editable.

🚫 Hidden from Client

When a feature is marked as Hidden, it will not appear in the client’s event view.

The feature remains fully accessible to you as the planner, allowing you to manage internal planning details privately.

This is ideal for tools or sections that are for planner use only.

Example:

If a feature such as Floorplan is set to “Hidden from client” and marked with the crossed-out eye icon, the feature will not appear in the client’s event view. It remains accessible only to you as the planner for internal planning and management.

🚫Note:
Features marked Hidden from client (🚫) will not appear anywhere in the client’s event view. Only you and your team will be able to access and manage these features within the planner dashboard.

Why Use Feature Permissions?

Feature permissions help you:

  • Control how clients interact with your event workspace

  • Share information at the right stage of planning

  • Prevent accidental edits to finalized details

  • Keep internal planning tools private

This flexibility allows you to tailor the planning experience for each client while maintaining full control over your workflow.

Reminder:
Always be mindful of the icon permissions assigned to each feature before sharing access with your client. The selected icon (✓ Editable, 🔒 View Only, or 🚫 Hidden) determines how your client can interact with that feature and what actions they are allowed to take within their event view. Double-check these settings to ensure your client has the appropriate level of access.
