ā Why this happens
This issue typically occurs when one or more guest entries contain tags or values that arenāt formatted the same way as the rest.
Even a single inconsistent, duplicated, or incorrectly added tag can disrupt the export and cause the entire column to appear blank in Excel.
š Step-by-step: How to fix it
1ļøā£ Open your guestlist in TTO
Go to your event in Thatās The One and open the Guestlist section.
2ļøā£ Review the column that is exporting empty
Look through the column (Attendance, Meal Choice, Tag, etc.).
Youāre looking for entries that seem:
Duplicated
Incomplete
Mistyped
Using a different format or tag than others
3ļøā£ Remove duplicate tags or repeated entries
If you see:
A guest with the same tag repeated
Multiple tag variations that should be identical
Duplicated guest rows
Delete or clean these duplicate/incorrect entries. This ensures the export reads the column consistently.
4ļøā£ Correct or re-apply incorrect values
For any row with unusual or mismatched tags:
Edit the entry so it matches the other guestsā tag format, or
Remove the tag and re-apply it correctly
This helps standardize the data so Excel can read it properly.
5ļøā£ Re-export the guestlist
After cleaning up:
Click Export again
Open the new file
Check the column
It should now populate correctly with all the intended values.
š” Pro Tip: Before exporting your guestlist, try keeping your tags and custom field values as consistent as possible. Using the exact same wording and format across all guest entries helps prevent export issues and keeps your Excel files clean and accurate. ā
