🎨 Uploading Custom Designs from Canva

Already have a design you love from Canva? You can upload it directly as your E-Card, instead of building one from TTO's built-in layouts.

Written by Nina Dobrev

🖼️ Step 1: Start Your Custom E-Card

  • Create a new E-Card

  • Select a theme as your starting point

  • Click Upload now to bring in your own image

📤 Step 2: Upload Your Design

  • Choose your Canva-exported image file

  • Click Continue once it's uploaded

📌 Note: Export your design from Canva as an image file (e.g. PNG or JPG) before uploading — TTO doesn't connect directly to Canva, so you'll need the file saved to your device first.

🔘 Step 3: Customize Your Button

  • Update the button text to match your invite (e.g. "RSVP", "View Event")

  • Click Next to continue

📨 Step 4: Choose Recipients

  • Select the guest(s) you'd like to email the E-Card to

  • Or click Skip if you're not ready to send yet

✍️ Step 5: Compose Your Email

Once recipients are set, fill in the email that wraps around your E-Card:

  • From name — how it appears to guests (e.g. "Julie Bee & Gary Bee")

  • Email subject — e.g. "You're invited!"

  • Intro — a short line introducing the invite

  • Email body — your main message, shown both in the email and on the E-Card button

  • E-card title — the heading guests see above your card (e.g. "Your e-card is waiting for you:")

  • E-card button — the button text guests click to view/respond

A live preview on the right updates as you type, so you can see exactly what guests will receive.

Click Next once you're happy with the wording.

✅ Step 6: Test & Share

This is the final step before sending:

  • Test your e-card — send a test email to yourself first to see exactly what guests will receive

  • Send your e-card to your guests — once ready, click Email e-card now

📌 Note: After the E-Card is sent, you'll no longer be able to modify its content — so it's worth sending yourself a test first to double check everything looks right.

💡 Tip: This is a great option if you already have a fully branded invite designed elsewhere and want your E-Card to match it exactly — no need to recreate the design using TTO's built-in editor.
