↩️ How to Use Undo & Redo in the Floorplan / Plot Plan

⏪ Undo & Redo Buttons

At the top of the canvas, you'll find the Undo (↩️) and Redo (↪️) buttons highlighted in the toolbar. You can use these to step backwards or forwards through your recent actions. You can also use keyboard shortcuts for a faster experience:

⌨️ Ctrl + Z / Cmd + Z — Undo your last action.

⌨️ Ctrl + C / Cmd + C — Standard copy command also supported on the canvas.

🪑 What You Can Undo

The undo feature works across a variety of actions on the canvas, including:

Adding a single table - Place a table from the Library and undo it instantly if needed.

Adding multiple tables at once - Adding several library elements in one go can also be undone in a single step.

🗑️ Removing elements - Deleted a table or element by mistake? Undo brings it right back.

🔄 Redoing removed items - After undoing a deletion, you can redo to remove it again if needed.

🖼️ Uploading an image - If you upload a background image or floor plan image from your computer and change your mind, you can undo it and re-upload a different one cleanly.

👤 Guest assignments - Assigning a guest to a chair can also be undone. Note that in some cases, unassigning from one seat may not always automatically remove the guest from another seat - if you notice this, simply reassign manually to correct it.

💡 Pro Tip: When using the Undo feature, pace your actions about 1 second apart. The app groups very rapid changes into a single undo step, so if you click multiple times super fast, several changes may undo at once — this is expected behavior, not a bug!

↪️ Redo

Changed your mind about undoing something? Simply click the Redo button to reapply the action you just reversed. This works for all the same actions listed above.

✅ Tips Always use Undo and Redo to navigate your edits rather than manually reversing changes — it's faster and more reliable. And remember, if you're testing the feature, give each action a moment before clicking undo to ensure each step is captured individually.
