🎨 Design

Your wedding website theme is the first thing guests see, so it should reflect your style and celebration. With TTO's updated Design section, building the perfect look is now more flexible than ever.

🆕 What's New

Until now, each website was fixed to one template. Now you have full control over three independent building blocks — Layouts, Styles, and Templates — so you can mix and match, or let TTO combine them for you in one click.

📐 Layouts

Layouts change the structure of your page — how sections are arranged and laid out. Your photos and words stay exactly the same no matter which one you pick, only the arrangement changes around them.

To switch layouts, open Design → Layouts in the Website Builder. Two options are currently available, with more coming soon:

Centre panels

Your photo and text are split into alternating halves, with text centered within its half. This creates a clean, balanced side-by-side rhythm as guests scroll — photo, text, photo, text.

Detail columns

Everything sits in one centered column, with details displayed side by side within that column rather than alternating across the full page width. This creates a more compact, focused reading experience.

📌 Note: Selecting a layout only updates your preview — nothing changes on your live website until you click Save.

🎨 Styles

Styles change the look of your website rather than its structure — the layout and section order stay exactly the same, but the graphic details around your content change to match the style's personality.

For example, comparing two different styles on the same Centre panels layout:

Notice what changes between them:

  • Navbar background — dark/solid in one style, light/white in the other

  • Divider illustration — a simple heart accent under "We're getting married" in one, a hand-drawn squiggle line in the other

  • Overall mood — the same photos and text feel completely different depending on the graphic elements framing them

Each style comes with its own recommended set of colours and fonts, so you can:

  • Apply the style's graphic elements on their own, keeping your current colours/fonts, or

  • Apply the style together with its full recommended set for a fully coordinated look in one click

📌 Note: Since the layout itself doesn't change, your photos, text, and section order stay exactly where they are — only the surrounding graphic treatment updates.

🧩 Templates

Templates combine a layout and a style in one click, complete with a preview image — perfect if you'd rather not put the look together piece by piece.

📌 Note: Applying a template replaces the layout, style, colours, and fonts all at once — including anything you'd previously picked by hand. Your text and images are always kept.

🎛️ Customise Colours and Fonts

However you get started — Layout, Style, or Template — you can still fine-tune the details afterward under Design:

Font

Click into Font to browse the curated list (Corinthia, Monte Carlo, Noto Serif, Pacifico, Petit Formal, Playfair Display, Poppins, Sacramento, and more). Each option shows a live preview of how names and titles will look in that font — select one and it instantly updates in the preview on the right (e.g. switching to Noto Serif immediately changes "Evan & Rosie" in the hero section).

Colour

Click into Colour to open the colour picker. From here you can:

  • Pick from the Suggested colour swatches for a quick, coordinated choice, or

  • Drag within the colour gradient box and the hue slider below it for a fully custom shade, or

  • Type an exact HEX code directly into the field for pixel-precise control

Whatever you choose updates the live preview instantly, so you can see exactly how it looks before saving.

📌 Note: As with layouts and styles, these changes only apply to your preview — click Save to make them live for your guests.

📱 Check Mobile & Desktop Views

Use the desktop/mobile toggle above the preview to see exactly how your chosen layout and style will look for guests browsing on their phones versus their computers.

💍 Pick the Combination That Reflects Your Story

The best design is the one that feels right for your celebration. Mix a layout and style that reflects your personalities, colours, wedding location, and overall mood — or let a Template do the heavy lifting for you.

Your theme is simply a starting point — feel free to build on it and make it your own! 🎨
